First apply for an E2 visa

If you have overseas experience, a criminal background check from that country may be required. The certificate must be officially verified (apostille or consular verification) and issued within 6 months before the application date. Please confirm the requirements with your immigration office.

So, if you want to indicate your overseas experience on your resume or application form then please prepare criminal background check in advance

If you have working experience in Korea other than E2 visa work, it may be reviewed by the immigration office.

So, if you indicate it on your resume then you should prepare how to explain it to the immigration office

Transferring E2 visa

If you have a letter of release (the previous employer’s consent to transfer), a change of workplace is allowed once on that basis.

You have to report the change of workplace within 15 days from the date of the change.
If your remaining period of stay is shorter than the new contract period plus 1 month, you must apply for an extension of stay.

You have to report a change of address within 15 days after moving into new accommodation.

Chang D10 visa to E2 visa

If you leave Korea and apply for an E2 visa again, a previously verified criminal background check may be reused only within the period set by the manual; otherwise you have to prepare a new one. Please confirm the period with your immigration office.
