- Two official directories (Ministry of Justice and HiKorea) print different phone numbers for 24 of 42 offices that appear in both; both numbers are shown below.
- Seoul office move: press reports say it moves in October 2026; this is not yet on the official lists.

This page lists the phone number, address and service area of Korea's immigration offices as published by the Ministry of Justice (Korea Immigration Service) and HiKorea, the government's immigration portal. Offices are renamed, moved and re-numbered often, so we rebuilt every row from the two official directories on September 26, 2026 instead of copying an older list, and we say plainly where the two directories disagree. VISAS KOREA is a private administrative scrivener office, not a government body; the numbers below are the offices' own. 1. Call 1345 First: The Immigration Contact Center
The Immigration Contact Center is the Ministry of Justice's multilingual helpline for foreigners in Korea. It answers immigration questions and gives the office location, service area and hours for your address.

2. Finding Your Office and What to Know Before You Go
Your immigration office is decided by the address where you live. The HiKorea office finder lets you filter by region and shows each office's address and service area (the page itself is in Korean); the tables below repeat that information in English.
- Large cities are split. Nine Seoul districts plus Gwacheon, Seongnam and Hanam belong to the Seoul Immigration Office in Mokdong, seven other districts belong to Seoul Southern in Magok, and the Sejongno Branch serves the other nine, for stay matters only.
- Branches do not do everything. Nationality cases are handled only at the parent office (Daejeon for Cheonan, Seosan and Dangjin; Suwon for Pyeongtaek; Yangju for Goyang; the Busan Annex for Gimhae). The Busan main building handles ships and investigations while stay and visa counters are in the Annex, and Ansan splits its work between two buildings.
- Airport and port offices do border checks. Incheon Airport, Gimpo Airport, Gimhae Airport, Muan Airport, Pyeongtaek Port and the Seoul Station branch are mainly for entry and exit checks, not for extending a stay.
- Hours differ slightly. HiKorea posts Monday to Friday 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-18:00 for most offices; Cheongju, Donghae and Sokcho post 09:00-18:00; Yangju, Jeonju and Gunsan add Saturday 09:00-13:00 for certificates only.
Visit reservation
HiKorea's visit reservation guidance says to reserve a date before your stay period expires or before the legal reporting deadline, because visiting after the deadline can lead to a fine. A reservation only fixes a visit day and is not acceptance of your application. If you paid overdue health insurance premiums within the last 5 days, bring the receipt. Seoul office relocation. Press reports dated September 25, 2026 say the Seoul Immigration Office will move from Mokdong to a new building in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu and start operating there on October 19, 2026. 4. Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam Offices
Busan is split between a main building and an annex a short walk apart; the Gimhae area has both an airport office and a city branch.

Multicultural support centers run by local governments (for example in Ansan, Siheung, Gimpo, Cheonan and Asan) also appear on HiKorea. We do not list them because they are support desks attached to the offices above.
9. Where the Two Official Lists Disagree
The Ministry of Justice agency list and the HiKorea office finder are both official, but they are maintained separately. For 24 of the 42 offices found in both, they print a different main phone number; these are usually different lines of the same office. We show the Ministry list number first and the HiKorea number in its own column. If one line does not answer, try the other, then 1345.

What changed compared with older lists
- The larger offices (Seoul, Incheon, Incheon Airport, Suwon, Busan and Jeju) are officially named "Immigration and Foreigners Offices" (cheong in Korean) and the rest are "offices" (samuso).
- Seoul Southern is at Magok in Gangseo-gu and has a Yeongdeungpo center; older lists put it in the Mokdong compound in Yangcheon-gu.
- The Ansan office opened on March 21, 2022 (HiKorea office description) and appears in the current lists only.
- Older lists show a "Gimhae Immigration Office" at the airport with lines 051-979-1322~1325; the current official name is Gimhae Airport Immigration Office (051-979-1300), for border checks. Stay matters for Gimhae and Miryang residents go to the Busan office's Gimhae Branch.
- The Ministry's website menu still names City Airport Terminal and Gwangmyeong Station branches under the Incheon Airport office, but neither has an address or phone in the current lists, so we cannot list them. Call 1345 before going to either.
10. Phone Scams Using Immigration Office Names
The Seoul Immigration Office issued a warning on September 9, 2026 about automated calls from international numbers (starting with 06- or 00682-). The recording claims there is a document you have not collected and tells you to press a key for a Korean or Chinese counselor, after which callers try to take personal information. The notice states that immigration offices nationwide do not use international calls to ask for documents or personal information.
- Do not press any key. Hang up immediately.
- Report voice-phishing to 1394 (voice-phishing report and response center) or 112 (police).
- To check a caller, hang up and dial the office number from the tables above or 1345 yourself.

11. Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is the phone number of the immigration office in Korea?
A. There is no single number for every purpose. The nationwide Immigration Contact Center is 1345 (dial it without an area code from any Korean phone; from abroad, +82-2-1345). Each immigration office and branch also has its own line, listed above. We show the number printed on the Ministry of Justice agency list and, where HiKorea prints a different one, that number as well.
Q. Which immigration office should I go to?
A. The office is set by the address where you live, not by where you work or which one is closest. Look up your district in the HiKorea office finder or press 1 after dialing 1345. Large cities are split: Seoul is divided between the Seoul Immigration Office, the Seoul Southern office and the Sejongno Branch, and Gyeonggi-do is divided among several offices.
Q. Where is the Jeju Immigration Office and which area does it cover?
A. The Jeju Immigration Office is at 3 Yongdam-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, and its service area is all of Jeju-do. The Ministry of Justice list shows 064-741-5400 and HiKorea shows 064-723-3494 (section 5 above). If you are unsure which number to use, call 1345 and press 1 for office information.
Q. Where is the Yangju Immigration Office and who does it serve?
A. The Yangju Immigration Office is at 23 Pyeonghwa-ro 1475beon-gil, Yangju, Gyeonggi-do. It serves Uijeongbu, Dongducheon, Guri, Namyangju, Yangju, Pocheon and Yeoncheon, plus Cheorwon-gun in Gangwon. Goyang and Paju are served by its Goyang Branch instead. The Ministry of Justice list shows 031-828-9306 and HiKorea shows 031-828-9301 (section 3 above).
Q. Where is the Changwon Immigration Office and which areas does it cover?
A. The Changwon Immigration Office is at 30 Je2budu-ro, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, phone 055-981-6000 on both official lists. It covers Gyeongsangnam-do except Gimhae, Miryang, Yangsan and the areas of its Geoje, Sacheon and Tongyeong branches, which are listed separately (section 4 above).
Q. Where is the Chuncheon Immigration Office and which areas does it cover?
A. The Chuncheon Immigration Office is at 12 Saam-gil, Dongnae-myeon, Chuncheon, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, phone 033-269-3210 on both official lists. It covers Gangwon except the east-coast and Cheorwon areas, plus Gapyeong in Gyeonggi. The Goseong, Donghae and Sokcho branches are listed separately (section 6 above). Q. Can I get help in English by phone?
A. Yes. The Immigration Contact Center offers counseling in 20 languages on weekdays from 09:00 to 22:00, and after 18:00 the service is available in Korean, English and Chinese. Dial 1345, wait for the automated menu, press the number for your language and then the * key.
Q. What are the opening hours of Korean immigration offices?
A. For most offices HiKorea posts Monday to Friday, 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-18:00, with a lunch break. Cheongju and the Donghae and Sokcho branches post 09:00-18:00, and the Seoul office lets visitors in from 08:00. Yangju, Jeonju and Gunsan also post Saturday 09:00-13:00 for certificate issuance only. Several airport, port and branch offices post no hours at all, so confirm by phone before you travel.
Q. Do I need to book a visit in advance?
A. HiKorea runs a visit reservation service, and its guidance says to book a date before your stay period expires (or before the legal reporting deadline). A booking only reserves a visit day; it is not acceptance of your application. If no date is available before your deadline, HiKorea tells you to go to your local office before the deadline passes. Q. I received a call from an overseas number saying it is the immigration office. Is that real?
A. Treat it with suspicion. On September 9, 2026 the Seoul office warned about automated calls from numbers starting with 06- or 00682- that claim there is an uncollected document and ask you to press a key. Immigration offices do not use international calls to request documents or personal information. Do not press any key, hang up, and report to 1394 (voice-phishing center) or 112. Q. Has the Seoul Immigration Office moved?
A. Press reports from September 25, 2026 say the Seoul office will start operating from a new building in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu on October 19, 2026. As of September 26, 2026 the Ministry of Justice list and HiKorea still show the Mokdong address (151 Mokdong-dong-ro, Yangcheon-gu) and we could not find an official page confirming the new address or phone number. Check with 1345 or the Ministry agency list before visiting after that date.
